For enhanced safety, the front and rear seat shoulder belts of the Nissan Frontier have pretensioners to tighten the seatbelts and eliminate dangerous slack in the event of a collision and force limiters to limit the pressure the belts will exert on the passengers. The INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer pretensioners for its rear seat belts.

For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Nissan Frontier are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

In the past twenty years hundreds of infants and young children have died after being left in vehicles, usually by accident. When turning the vehicle off, drivers of the Frontier are reminded to check the back seat if they opened the rear door before starting out. The Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer a back seat reminder.

Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The Frontier has standard Rear Automatic Braking that use rear sensors to monitor for objects to the rear and automatically apply the brakes to prevent a collision. The Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer backup collision prevention brakes.

The Frontier (except S/SV) offers an optional Around View Monitor to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The Grenadier Quartermaster only offers a rear monitor and front and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the sides.

The Frontier’s blind spot warning system uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them. The Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer a system to reveal objects in the driver’s blind spots.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Frontier’s standard Rear Cross Traffic Alert uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side, helping the driver avoid collisions. The Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

Both the Frontier and the Grenadier Quartermaster have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, plastic fuel tanks, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, rearview cameras, driver alert monitors and available four-wheel drive.

Nissan pays for scheduled maintenance on the Frontier for 2 years and 24,000 miles. Nissan will pay for oil changes, tire rotations, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 3 visits). INEOS doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Grenadier Quartermaster.

There are almost 54 times as many Nissan dealers as there are INEOS dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Frontier’s warranty.

J.D. Power and Associates rated the Frontier third among midsize pickups in their 2024 Initial Quality Study. The Grenadier Quartermaster isn’t in the top three in its category.

The Frontier’s 3.8 DOHC V6 produces 28 more horsepower (310 vs. 282) than the Grenadier Quartermaster’s 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder.

On the EPA test cycle the Frontier gets better mileage than the Grenadier Quartermaster:

To lower fuel costs and make buying fuel easier, the Nissan Frontier uses regular unleaded gasoline. The Grenadier Quartermaster requires premium, which can cost on average about 84.9 cents more per gallon.

The Frontier has a tether attaching its gas cap to prevent its loss. The Grenadier Quartermaster’s gas cap isn’t tethered, so it can be left at a gas station if the driver forgets to screw the cap back in.

A nine-speed automatic is standard on the Nissan Frontier, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only an eight-speed automatic is available for the Grenadier Quartermaster.

The Frontier’s standard front and rear disc brakes are vented to help dissipate heat for shorter stops with less fading. The rear discs on the Grenadier Quartermaster are solid, not vented.

For better traction, the Frontier has larger tires than the Grenadier Quartermaster (265/70R16 vs. 255/70R18).

The Frontier SV/SL’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 65 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Grenadier Quartermaster’s 70 series tires.

The Frontier has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

The Nissan Frontier’s independent front suspension is much lighter than the INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster’s solid front axle, which allows the Frontier’s wheels to react more quickly and accurately to the road’s surface, improving both ride and handling.

For much better steering response and tighter handling the Frontier has rack and pinion steering, like Formula racecars, instead of the recirculating-ball type steering of the Grenadier Quartermaster.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Frontier LWB Crew Cab’s wheelbase is 12.8 inches longer than on the Grenadier Quartermaster (139.8 inches vs. 127 inches).

For better maneuverability, the Frontier King Cab 4x4’s turning circle is 5.2 feet tighter than the Grenadier Quartermaster’s (42.4 feet vs. 47.6 feet). The Frontier LWB Crew Cab’s turning circle is .7 feet tighter than the Grenadier Quartermaster’s (46.9 feet vs. 47.6 feet).

The Nissan Frontier may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 900 to 1500 pounds less than the INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster.

The Frontier is 8.2 inches shorter in height than the Grenadier Quartermaster, making the Frontier much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

For excellent aerodynamics, the Frontier has standard flush composite headlights. The Grenadier Quartermaster has recessed headlights that spoil its aerodynamic shape and create extra drag.

The front grille of the Frontier uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Grenadier Quartermaster’s spare tire is stored in the cargo area, where it diminishes the useable cargo capacity and interferes with loading and unloading. The Frontier’s spare is out of the way underneath.

A low lift-over bed design makes loading and unloading the Frontier Crew Cab easier. The Frontier Crew Cab’s bed lift-over height is 33.4 inches, while the Grenadier Quartermaster’s liftover is 35.6 inches. The Frontier King Cab’s liftover is only 32 inches.

The Frontier uses gas struts to support the hood for easier service access. The Grenadier Quartermaster uses a prop rod to support its heavy hood. It takes two hands to open the hood and set the prop rod, the prop rod gets in the way during maintenance and service, and the prop rod could be knocked out, causing the heavy hood to fall on the person maintaining or servicing the car.

A Service Reminder is standard on the Frontier to save the owner time and money by calculating maintenance intervals for oil changes, spark plug replacement, air filter replacement, tire rotation, radiator flush, brake pad replacement, and transmission fluid replacement, based on odometer mileage. This takes the guesswork out of keeping your vehicle in top condition and helps it last longer. INEOS doesn’t offer a maintenance reminder on the Grenadier Quartermaster.

The Frontier offers a remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

The engine computer on the Frontier automatically engages the starter until the car starts with one twist of the key and disables the starter while the engine is running. The Grenadier Quartermaster’s starter can be accidentally engaged while the engine is running, making a grinding noise and possibly damaging the starter and ring gear.

The Frontier’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Grenadier Quartermaster does not have an oil pressure gauge.

The Frontier’s standard power windows have a locking feature to keep children from operating them. INEOS does not offer a locking feature on the Grenadier Quartermaster’s standard power windows.

The Push Button Start standard on the Frontier allows you to start the engine without removing the key from the pocket or purse. The INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer an advanced key system. The Frontier’s optional Intelligent Key also allows you to unlock the doors from either front outside door handle.

The Frontier’s speed-sensitive wipers speed up when the vehicle does, so that the driver doesn’t have to continually adjust the speed of the wipers. The Grenadier Quartermaster’s manually variable intermittent wipers have to be constantly adjusted.

While driving with high beams on, sensitive light sensors standard on the Frontier detect other vehicles which could be blinded and automatically switch to low beams. The Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer automatic dimming high beams.

The Frontier’s optional rear view mirror has an automatic dimming feature. This mirror can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on it, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer the luxury of an automatic dimming rear view mirror.

On extremely cold winter days, the Frontier’s optional (except S) heated steering wheel provides comfort, allowing the driver to steer safely and comfortably before the vehicle heater warms up. The Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer a heated steering wheel.

The Frontier SV/PRO/SL Crew Cab has a standard center folding armrest for the rear passengers. A center armrest helps make rear passengers more comfortable and it can provide a boundary between children. The Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer a rear seat center armrest.

The Frontier (except S)’s optional dual zone air conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to choose two completely different temperatures so people with different temperature preferences won’t have to compromise. This makes both the driver and front passenger as comfortable as possible. The Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer dual zone air conditioning.

To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the Frontier has a standard Intelligent Cruise Control, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.

Compared to the INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster, the Nissan Frontier eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries with its optional integrated Homelink® universal remote controlled from the rear view mirror.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Nissan Frontier (except S/SV) offers an optional wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the front center console. The Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.

The Nissan Frontier comes in extended cab and crew cab bodystyles; the INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster isn’t available as an extended cab.

The Frontier is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The Grenadier Quartermaster doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
